It’s no secret that the popular instant messenger drops off support to a couple of devices towards the end of the year. Do you remember the Windows Phones? of course, you don’t that was so dinosaur ages ago. The point is WhatsApp dropped off those too. Now they are doing the same to big phones like iPhones.

List of Smartphones Not Supporting WhatsApp

In November WhatsApp will no longer be compatible with the devices we listed below. The compatibility isn’t really on the hardware but on the software for example all iPhones with iOS versions of above 10 will still be compatible. Here goes the list per brand.

Apple iPhone

iPhone SE (first generation), iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, if not updated from iOS 10, will lose support for WhatsApp.

Samsung

Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Samsung Galaxy Trend II, Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core and Galaxy Ace 2.

LG

LG Lucid 2, Optimus F7, Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus F5, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7,Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact , Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD and 4X HD, and Optimus F3Q.

Sony Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L, Xperia Arc S.
